Army General Officer Nominations dtd January 2010
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Army Lt. Gen. Jack C. Stultz Jr. has been nominated to the rank of lieutenant general. Stultz is currently serving as chief, Army Reserve/commanding general, U.S. Army Reserve Command, Washington, D.C.
Army Lt. Gen. James D. Thurman has been nominated to the grade of general with assignment as commanding general, U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. Thurman is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced that the President has nominated:
Brigadier General Jon J. Miller, United States Army Reserve, for promotion to the grade of major general. He is currently serving as Chief of Staff, United States Army Reserve Command, Fort McPherson, Georgia.
Colonel Jeffrey N. Colt for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Commander, Joint Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center of Excellence, Indian Springs Airfield, Creech Air Force Base, Nevada.
Colonel Peter A. Deluca for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Commander, United States Army Engineer Division North Atlantic, Fort Hamilton Military Community, Brooklyn, New York.
Colonel Robert M. Dyess Jr. for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Director, Capabilities Developments, Army Capabilities Integration Center, United States Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Virginia.
Colonel Donald M. MacWillie for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Commander, United States Army Operational Test Command, Fort Hood, Texas.

Maj. Gen. Daniel B. Allyn, deputy commanding general, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, Fort Bragg, N.C., to commanding general, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Maj. Gen. Nelson J. Cannon, Army National Guard, commander, 46th Military Police Command, Lansing, Mich., to provost marshal/deputy commander, Detainee Operations, U.S. Forces-Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.
Maj. Gen. David R. Hogg, deputy commanding general, Combined Security Transition Command - Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan, to commanding general, U.S. Army Africa/commanding general, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Italy.

Major General Robert L.
